Penny Black Saturday Challenge - "Let It Snow"

This is my first post - ever! I was bound and determined to get something posted so I bought this cute Penny Black cling stamp to enter this challenge. It was a bigger challenge than I expected. I stamped the image using a black Momento Ink pad. Next I colored it using Copic Sketch markers. Personally, coloring is not my favorite thing to do but the Copic markers are nice. I need to work on technique a bit though. I cut a frame face by welding some rectangles using Cricut Design Studio. Then removed the inner rectangle to cut a back to the frame. The front looked a blah so I dry embossed it using a Cuttlebug falling snow folder. I sandwiched the image between the frame front and back....of course forgetting to put the ribbon on first! Dental floss to the rescue! I added the ribbon which reminded me of snow drifts. The snow flakes were made using punches and I glittered them up. The snow flakes were strategically popped and placed to cover up coloring mistakes. Using a easel-type card base, I can stand it up for show. I heat embossed "Merry Christmas" using a stamp from a Hero Arts holiday sayings cling set and fine silver embossing powder. A few more snow flakes and it was ready for display.

I normally would sit here and point out all the flaws. But I'm trying to control that bad habit of perfectionism. So tonight, I'm going to take pride in finishing, posting, and entering my first challenge. Yippie!
